O'Grady's - A Sporting Headquarters!
O'Grady's is home to a number of local clubs. Thomas MacCurtains GAA Club, Southend United FC, and Campion RFC, amongst others, are all proud to call O'Grady's their local.
Through these connections, O'Grady's is noted as being one of the places to go to watch the major sporting events.
World Cup 2002 was a special one at O'Grady's - see photos below!
The Liam McCarthy Cup is a regular visitor to the pub - any excuse for some of the locals to party - below are a few photos taken on one of its visits.
The regulars also operate a very enjoyable Racing Club from the pub, and organise coach trips to various festivals throughout the year. Carl Llelwyn and Graham Bradley are just 2 former jockeys who have found their way to O'Grady's in the past.
There is also a Golf Society based at the pub.
In short I guess, if you have a sporting interest, you are more than likely to find a regular at O'Grady's with the same interest, and you're guaranteed a brilliant atmosphere whatever the event you're watching / attending with this gang!
